Action Congress of Nigeria Spending N1.86Billion On Tinubu’s birthday

The Nigerian main opposition Party, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) spent about N1.86B on Tinubu’s 60th birthday.
State and Local government areas in ACN control states contributed this amount, apart from Oyo State that refused to send in their own ‘widow’s handout’.
The carnival like birthday party for the ACN chief, lasted for a week.
PDP south west chiefs chuckled at this extravaganza and ACN’s stalwarts frequent criticism of President Jonathan and the ruling party, PDP. They describe it as a case of “Aki calling Pawpaw a dwarf”.

Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen’s anticipated historical movie ‘ADESUWA – a wasted lust’ is set to hit Nigerian cinemas on Friday 4, May 2012.
Imasuen has over the years being responsible for a long list of blockbuster movies such as Private Storm, Bent Arrrows, Home in Exile, Entanglement, Wrong Desire, Games Women Play, Private Sin amongst others.
Excited about his new project, the Planet Africa Media Award recipient says, ‘My whole life at the moment revolves around Adesuwa. Truth is I am in love with Adesuwa. My wife has leased me to Adesuwa till after the cinema run around May.
Adesuwa is a riveting tale that reveals the dangerous power of unbridled lust and its psycho-sociological implications. The movie treats this powerful emotion as a potent force capable of turning an otherwise sane human into a brutal beast and sets on fire two friendly and peaceful neighbours.
After a successful premiere in London at the Odeon cinema in Greenwich, the movie is finally set to open in Nigeria.
Imasuen says the movie which is based on a true life story, centers on a vassal chief Obi Olise who demeans his throne because of a woman that has already being betrothed to Oba Akengbuda Of Benin.
Adesuwa features an impressive cast of top nollywood artistes, including Olu Jacobs, Ngozi Ezeonu, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Cliff Igbinovia, Kofi Adjorlolo, and Iyobosa Olaya. Lavishly filmed, and featuring remarkable visual effects, the movie takes Lancelot into the memorable past of the Benin Kingdom to bring a tale of lust, passion, and betrayal.
